Wuppertal, January 2014 - Erfurt is adding an attractive entry-level plank to its Bestwood product range to coincide with the start
of the new year. The solid Basicline New plank has a grooved surface, is available in all the well-known popular shades and can be used on
only one side, offering key benefits particularly from a safety point of view. In the event of a plank being laid incorrectly, unlike with
hollow-core planks, this plank minimises the risk of standing or freezing water irreparably damaging the material all this at a very attractive
entry-level price. As with all Bestwood patio planks, the name says it all here too. The solid Basicline New plank looks like tropical wood, but
is in actual fact made from native PETC-certified pine wood. It is also completely PVC-free and fully recyclable.
The systematic further development of WPC, Wood Polymer Composites, which has been around since the early 1960s, means that only wood fibres from
sustainably managed forests plus high-quality polymer bonding agents and additives are now used in all Bestwood products. With an above-average 75%
wood fibre content, Erfurt would like to clearly differentiate its Bestwood planks from other WPC products on the market. Solid Bestwood planks are
available in three shades, with a total of three different surfaces finely ribbed, corrugated and grooved along with their associated accessories.
The dyed products are also extremely resistant to the sun, wind, precipitation, moss, fungi and even insects. The environmentally-friendly material
combines the natural look and feel of wood with the practical features of high-grade plastics, so that sanding, oiling and sealing, or indeed any
other surface treatments, are now a thing of the past. Bestwood planks are fixed in place using a clamp system with concealed screws and, along with
an anti-slip brushed structure, the crack and splinter-free finish creates a decking you can walk on with bare feet - safer and kinder to children
and pets!
